The event takes visitors down the memory lane to the most critical moments in Fudaners’ fight against COVID-19 early this year.
To give a vivid and detailed account of what Fudaners did at the peak of the pandemic, an exhibition entitled “When flowers are in full bloom” centering on Fudan’s pandemic fighting efforts is now open to the public at the University’s medical library at Fenglin Campus.
A total of about 500 items including frontline medicinal devices, family letters, photos, drawings and calligraphy are on display.
Academician and Fudan Virologist Wen Yumei, Vice President of Fudan-Zhongshan Hospital Zhu Chouwen, Vice President of Fudan-Huashan Hospital Ma Xin, Director of Infectious Diseases Department of Fudan-Huashan Hospital Zhang Wenhong, etc., attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition on May 27 on behalf of all the Fudan medics and researchers who worked on the frontline of battling COVID-19.
Chancellor of the University Council Jiao Yang (2nd from right), Chancellor of the Council of Fudan-Shanghai Medical College Yuan Zhenghong (3rd from right, in red tie), Academician and Fudan Virologist Wen Yumei (fourth from right, in gray jacket) and Vice President of Fudan-Huashan Hospital Ma Xin (second from left, in blue tie) look at items on the exhibition.
Thanks to the donations of Fudan medics who aided Wuhan or stationed at designated hospitals for COVID-19 patients in Shanghai, the exhibition is rich in exhibits and thus able to provide abundant information for those interested in studying the battle against the pandemic, while paying respect to frontline Fudaners for their courage and sacrifice amid the outbreak.
Please note that the exhibition is open only on weekdays between May 28 to June 26. All visitors are required to book their visits online. 30 visitors are allowed inside the exhibition venue at a time. Please scan the QR code below and choose a time slot.
